Yula DeYounge was many things. To describe her in word would not be a testament to her character. First and foremost, Yula was mother. She took care of her children and always held their best interests at heart. Wherever they needed her, she would be there and would do anything in her power to help. Yula was also one of the most selfless people that ever walked this Earth. She spent most of her life giving aid to her loved ones, whether it was emotionally, financially, or even physically. Yet I do not think that we truly appreciated that fact. Not once did she request that we give back to her, nor did she put anyone in debt. The well-being of her family and friends came before anyone. Most of all, Yula was loving. She loved God first, and her family right after. Everywhere she went, she spread her positive light and made a lot of friends, whom she cherished. No matter who she spoke to, she would always radiate with love and comfort. And to receive that amount of love back would put the biggest smile on her face, a smile that will never be forgotten.
