William Capone Obituary

William “Billy” Capone passed away on August 27, 2020. He was born in Parkway Hospital in Manhattan on July 3, 1939 to Joseph and Emily Capone. Beloved husband of Joanne and devoted father to his daughter Pamela. Known to friends and family as “Billy”, a native of Mt. Vernon, NY.  A 1957 graduate of AB Davis HS and proudly served our country in the US Navy on the USS Macon from 59 - 61.  Billy was an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants baseball team. He retired from Amalgamated Lithography-Local 1 Union when he and his wife Joanne of 35 years moved to Naples, Florida 15 years ago.  Billy filled his spare time as a chauffeur with a private limousine service, oftentimes driving celebrities making friends along the way.  Billy had a gift of gab that made everyone feel comfortable.  He will be sorely missed. Billy passed comfortably in his home while taking a nap in the company of his wife Joanne. Some say that this is called a “King’s Death” and that is what he was to his wife and daughter. His wife Joanne is having a “Celebration of Life” for Billy in Naples, Florida for close friends and relatives.
