Vincent J LiVecchi, known to many as Jim, Jimmy, or “Custom Paint by VJL”.. passed away suddenly but peacefully on the morning of January 25th, 2022. His beloved wife Liz LiVecchi was by his side. Jim is also survived by daughter Gina, son in law Daniel Hawks, Step daughter & son in law, Sara & Dom Lagana, Brother in laws Ernie Balla, Tony & Gerard Morrone, God daughter Barbara "Dabba" Morrone, nephew Michael Morrone & many many more. Jim was a friend to MANY whom considered him family. He was a gentile giant with a huge heart that would give you the shirt off his back. Well loved and well respected, he was born and raised in Mount Vernon and took a lot of pride in that. Some even joked that he was the unofficial mayor. As we all know, Jimmy was beyond talented as an artist, painter & “body guy”. He knew more about corvette’s than any car manual or encyclopedia out there. Organizing cruise nights, Sunday “cars and coffee” and spending time with his car club “Shift Masters” meant everything to him. Whether it was building or painting custom bikes or hot rods, he had his hand in just about everything. Jim was also an extremely talented guitar player. His knowledge in music went just as deep as his knowledge in cars. He was especially fond of Skynyrd & Elvis! A man of many words and many many stories, he would have you laughing for hours. Although his time on earth was cut short, we can all agree he truly lived his life to the fullest. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mount Vernon Soup Kitchen. He often did fundraisers for them with his car club at the Fleetwood Car Show, it was near and dear to his huge heart.
