Victoria Lee Chapeton of Hamden, CT passed away peacefully in her home on January 7th, 2022. She was 60 years old. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She was born Victoria Lee McGloin to Robert & Hazel McGloin in Bronx, NY. She is survived by her daughter Julie Pearce, her son Christopher Chapeton, her granddaughter Blakely Pearce, her former husband Gregory Chapeton, her siblings Kathleen Horgan, Alison Princiotta, Robin Dykeman, Maura McGloin, Maureen Gerardi, Brian McGloin, & Robert McGloin, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Victoria was predeceased by her parents Robert & Hazel McGloin and her brother Russell McGloin.
Victoria was known for her warm and kind nature. Her laugh was infectious and she could light up a room with her smile. She had a passion for art which began at a young age. She often talked about her days spent working at a local taxidermy studio. She carried her creativity into adulthood through painting, coloring and making small sculptures. Her love of art was only superseded by her love of being a mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who were close to her. The imprints that she left on the hearts that she touched will never be forgotten.
A wake will be held on Thursday, January 13th from 4-8pm at Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Victoria’s name to the HHT Foundation (https://curehht.org/ways-to-donate/) and One More Dog Rescue (omdrescue.org).
