Victoria (Vickie) Cali of Mt. Vernon, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and was the beloved wife of Riccardo Cali for 55 years, until his death in 2020.
Vickie was born in New York City to Joseph and Rose Morano on December 5, 1940. She grew up in the Little Italy neighborhood of NYC and married Riccardo Cali on February 13, 1965. They first lived in the Bronx and then moved to the Fleetwood section of Mount Vernon where they lived for over 45 years.
Vickie is survived by her loving children: her daughter Vicky and her husband Paul, her son Joseph and his wife Linda, and her beloved grandchildren who were truly her pride and joy; Christina, Laura, Angela, Anthony, and Ava.
Vickie was known for her sense of humor, always telling jokes and making people laugh. She was a great singer, she loved to sing and entertain, especially performing karaoke at family parties which we always looked forward to. She was a big movie buff, she loved classic Hollywood movies and TV shows, “Singing in the Rain” and “I Love Lucy” were among her favorites.
Animals also held a special place in Vickie’s heart. She had several dogs and cats in her lifetime which brought her great joy.
Vickie will be deeply missed by all that loved her and will be forever cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, it is preferred that donations be made in Vickie’s name to SPCA Westchester: https://spcawestchester.org/donate
