Sheila Favata

Sheila Favata of Yonkers, NY passed away peacefully on January 19, 2021.  Sheila was born in the Bronx on Feb. 28, 1927 to John and Bridget McCusker.  Sheila married Mario Favata on August 14, 1948. Sheila was a loving mother of two sons, Robert Favata (Rosemary), Michael Favata, two daughters Kathleen Kavanagh and Mary Barry (John), son in-law William McCarthy, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Sheila was predeceased by her husband of 66 years Mario and her daughter Patricia McCarthy.  Her strength and dedication to her family and faith were unwavering.  She found joy in both.  Family and friends will honor Sheila’s life at the Yannantuono Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 to 7pm.  Mass of Christian burial will be Friday 11am at St. Eugene’s Church in Yonkers.  Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Association https://act.alz.org/donate would be appreciated.
