Shakuntalla Sriprasad- Castro

 In Loving Memory of our beloved Shakuntalla Devi Sriprasad-Castro who passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at NYP - Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, NY, surrounded by her family and friends.  Devi is survived by her Husband of thirteen years, Jason A. Castro; Father, Narinedatt Sriprasad; Mother, Devanti Dayal; Sister, Indrawattie Sriprasad: Stepfather, Amit Dayal; Stepmother, Sheila Sriprasad; Brothers, Steven Sriprasad and Andrew Sriprasad; and all her many loving in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and so many more.  Devi was born on September 29, 1978, in Port Mourant, Berbice, Guyana.  She immigrated to the US in her early childhood with her family and lived in NYC and eventually moved to Westchester, NY.

     Devi's beauty, humor, strength, generosity, kindness, hospitality and laughter will always be remembered.  She was a real-life legend, hero, and role-model.  Devi's Christian faith upheld her.  She encouraged many, taught them about God's love, and lead by example.  Her character is forever forged in those closest to her.  Devi inspired us, lit up every room and endured so much.  She was amazing.  Even in death, her impact on us will live on.  Her memory will forever be in our hearts.
