Rocco “Rocky” Fiorenza, 58, of Darien Connecticut, passed away in his home on Thursday April 2nd 2020. Rocco was born to Anthony and Tina Fiorenza on March 1, 1962 in Mount Vernon, New York. He had fond memories of growing up in Fleetwood where he lived with his three sisters Anna, Debbie and Michele. Rocco was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School. Rocco met his wife Laura Capasso Fiorenza in the summer of 1987 and became her beloved husband 5 years later at Saint Patrick's Cathedral in New York, New York on October 24, 1993. He went on to become the loving father of 4 children, Christian, Andrew, Marcello and the late Anthony. Rocco was a dedicated father to his sons, especially Marcello as he saw him through surviving an eight year battle with Leukemia. In addition to being a loving brother-in-law he was uncle to 4 nieces and 9 nephews. And was a beloved nephew and cousin as well as friend to countless others. He worked in a family business (Fiorenza Interiors of Bronxville) with his father and was the proprietor of a Scholars Bar in New Rochelle. Most recently he developed a social media platform connecting people with health issues. While Rocco will physically be laid to rest at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla with his son Anthony, his family knows his spirit will forever be enjoying the sunset from their home in the Turks and Caicos islands. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks to please donate to The American Heart Association.
