Richard Pagano, a long-time resident of Mt. Vernon, entered Eternal Rest at the age of 89 on October 22, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Richard graduated from AB Davis High School in Mt. Vernon before joining theUnited States Army. After honorably serving his country, he received his BA in Business Administration from Iona College and a MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business. He later worked as a business executive in the cosmetic industry for many years before retirement.
Richard was an avid baseball fan, collector of family history, and photographer of all thing’s family. He focused his life on faith, family, and friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren—cheering them on at baseball games, attending dance recitals, and celebrating countless cherished family holidays together.
Richard married the love of his life Irene Luzzi on October 4, 1970, and they were married 55 years. Richard is survived by his loving wife Irene; daughter Stacey (Salvatore); son Richard (Deborah), and loving grandchildren Julianna, Matthew, John, and Christopher; sisters Marilyn Monte and Angela C. Pagano, and nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Albert and Jennie Pagano.
To honor Richard’s life, the family will receive visitors on Friday from 4:00-8:00 PM at Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home, 584 Gramatan Avenue, Mt. Vernon, NY. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul and Saint Ursula Church 129 E. Birch Street, Mt. Vernon, NY. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W. Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY.
