Richard Morra, a cherished husband, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025, at the age of 72, in White Plains, NY. Born on May 29, 1953, in Bronxville, NY, Rich lived a life marked by devotion to his family, service to his community, and love for his canine companions.
Rich's commitment to law enforcement spanned over four decades, during which he dedicated himself to the safety and well-being of the residents of Westchester County. His unwavering integrity, compassion, and sense of justice were the hallmarks of his esteemed career. Rich was not just a man of the law but a mentor and friend to his colleagues, who will remember him for his guidance and the positive impact he made in their lives.
At home, Rich was a loving spouse to his surviving wife, Gloria Isola Morra. Their partnership was a testament of mutual respect and adoration, and together they created a warm and welcoming home. Rich's love for his dogs, Charlie and Sammy, was evident to all who knew him. His face would light up with joy at the sight of them, and they were a constant source of comfort and companionship throughout his life.
Rich was blessed with a close-knit family. He is survived by his brothers, John Morra, Anthony Morra, and his wife Terry Morra. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Gina Isola Bendlin and her husband, Rick Bendlin. As well as his brother-in-law Guy Isola and his wife, Maggie Isola. They all shared countless memories filled with laughter and love. He was a beloved uncle to 6 nieces and nephews, Marissa Morra-Wynn, Jaclyn Morra Montagriff, Gregory Morra, James Morra, Justin Bendlin, and Julia Bendlin will fondly remember their uncle for his kindness and the selfless way he lived his life. His cousins, Donna and John Fulco, also survive him, and they will miss his presence at family gatherings where he was always the heart of the conversation.
His memory will forever be etched in the lives he touched and forever in our hearts.
