Rachel Mogavero

Rachel Mogavero, formerly of Mount Vernon and most recently of Eastchester, NY, passed away on Monday, December 1st, surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Born on February 15, 1925, to the late Albert and Domenica DeSimone, Rachel later married the love of her life, Vincent, who predeceased her. Together they built a beautiful life and raised three children: Bruce, their beloved late son Barry, and Linda.

Rachel embraced her remarkable century of life with grace, resilience, and an unwavering dedication to family. She leaves behind a treasured legacy that includes eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless pride and joy. Her happiest moments were spent gathered around her kitchen table, surrounded by the people she loved most.

As the cherished matriarch of our family, Rachel’s presence, wisdom, and boundless love will be missed beyond measure. Her strong spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
