Pietro DiMatteo

Pietro DiMatteo of Yonkers passed away on January 17, 2020. He was born on July 25, 1952 in Guardia dei Lombardi, Italy to Balduino and Clementina DiMatteo. Pietro came to America in the early 1970’s. He is predeceased by his father Balduino. Beloved husband of Lorraine (nee Barone) whom he married in 1987; loving father of Danielle; cherished son of Clementina; dear brother of Mirella (Rocco) Maiorano. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Pietro was a chef who loved what he did, owning restaurants and pizzerias along the way. He also had a passion for exotic cars. Family will honor Pietro’s memory on Monday January 20, 2020 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home, 584 Gramatan Ave, Mt. Vernon, NY 10552. Funeral Mass 10:30 am Tuesday January 21, 2020 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 602 MacLean Ave, Yonkers, NY 10705. Interment at Ferncliff Cemetery.
