Patricia Faughnan

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Faughnan, beloved sister of
Carolyn, Kathleen, Michael, Richard, Kevin, Frank, Mary, and Danny, cherished aunt of twenty-
five nieces and nephews, and dear friend to many, departed this life peacefully on January 31,
2025.
Patricia was born on November 14, 1947 to Francis and Veronica Faughnan and raised in
Yonkers, NY.
Patricia attended St. Paul the Apostle School and St. Barnabas High School, followed by Thorpe
Secretarial school.
The early part of her career included positions in the hospitality industry at Marriott and TAP
Airlines. She spent most of her career at Flying Tigers, which was acquired by Fed Ex, and
located at John F Kennedy Airport. 

Patricia had a love for music, whether attending Broadway shows, events at the Irish Repertory
Theatre, or many of the family gatherings. She and her siblings often shared stories and
memories of their youth and were known to sing a song or two when reflecting on many fond
times.
Patricia was extremely sociable; making friends in every part of her life’s journey, many of
whom frequently visited her and stayed by her side while she was cared for by the devoted
Dominican Sisters at Rosary Hill home.
She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, her sister Carolyn, and many cherished family
members.
Friends may visit at the Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home, 548 Gramatan Ave, Mt.
Vernon, NY on Monday from 4-8. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February
4 th at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 10:45 in Bronxville, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Patricia’s name to Rosary Hill
Home, 600 Linda Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532.
