Murray Fendrich, 95, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024. Born in the Bronx, NY, on February 27, 1929, he was the son of the late Walter and Celia Fendrich.
A longtime resident of Pelham, NY, Murray married the love of his life, Nancy Hamill Fendrich, in 1960; she predeceased him. They raised their family in Mount Vernon, NY, where he built a successful career as a commercial gas equipment technician, a profession to which he dedicated over six decades before retiring in Wilmington, DE.
Murray found joy in spending time with his family, listening to music, and playing racquetball. He was deeply devoted to his children and grandchildren, who brought him immense happiness and pride.
Murray is survived by his sons, David (Enia) and Steven (Janice), and his adored grandchildren: Jacob, Emily, Danielle, Kristi, and Kara. He will also be missed by his nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom cherished his kindness, humor, and unwavering love.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Murray’s life on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Yannantuono, Burr, Davis, Sharpe Funeral Home, 585 Gramatan Ave., Mount Vernon, NY 10552.
