Early in the morning of March 24, 2026, Michael Myers, a strong and resilient man, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer that spanned more than a decade. He was a caring and dependable family man, a lifelong fan of the New York Mets and Giants, a devoted dog lover, and an avid reader. He graduated from Mount Saint Michael Academy in the Bronx, and went on to join the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, where he worked as an oil burner mechanic for thirty years.
He was predeceased by his mother, Lena Myers; his father, George Myers; and his brothers, George, Carmine, and Artie Myers. He is survived by his brother, Mark (Susan) Myers; his sister-in-law, Lillian Myers; and several nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by close friends who became family in every way that mattered— the Comerfords: predeceased by his best friend, Christine, and survived by John, Alexis (Corey), and Zachary (Jessica). With them, he shared special moments during holidays, birthdays, and life’s major milestones. His love, generosity, and kindness will forever be cherished by his nephews, Quinn and Lucas.
Scoop, you were a beloved part of our family. You will always be missed and forever loved.
We invite you to make a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in his honor, in lieu of sending flowers.
