Mavis Prisco Obituary

Mavis Foley Prisco, 77 passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at her home in Del Ray Beach, Florida on Sunday, December 20th, 2020.

Born in Manchester, England, Mavis was the daughter of the late Arthur and Alice Quigley Foley and sister of the late Derek Foley. She moved to America where she met her forever loving Husband Dino who together, danced the night away and were married in August, 1968. Together, they owned Prisco Pools and Spas in Yonkers, NY where you were sure to see Mavis’ beautiful, smiling face as soon as you walked in the door. Dino entered into eternal life before her in 2017 after 49 years of marriage. Along with her husband Dino, Mavis was welcomed into heaven by the loving arms of her late son, Dino Jr. who was forever in her heart.

Ever loving and devoted mother of Marco (Tracy) of Blauvelt, NY, cherished grandmother of Marco Jonas and Nate, Mavis is also survived by many dear sister-in-laws, her brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, her Aunt and Uncle and many friends, near and far.

Most in life, Mavis loved and cherished her 2 sons, Marco and Dino Jr. and her grandchildren Marco Jonas and Nate who will miss their Nana tremendously. She lived a life full of love, laughter, happiness, family, friends, dancing, wine, cooking, gardening, swimming and traveling the world.

A private viewing and burial with immediate family will take place. A memorial service and lunch for all family and friends to gather and celebrate Mavis’ life will be held at a later time during the summer.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to honor Mavis’ life and love of gardening and travel by planting trees in her name. Trees will be planted all over the country as a lasting, living memorial to our Mavis.
