Mary Boylan Greenan

Mary Veronica Lynch Boylan Greenan passed away at the age of 90 in Mount Vernon, NY on March 27, 2020. A beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt. She was born on Nov. 19, 1929 and lived most of her life in the Bronx and in the City of Mount Vernon, NY. She was an active parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Fleetwood, Mount Vernon.
She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed her many years of service working at Mount Vernon Hospital. Mary was the last of the infamous “Lynch Girls” from the South Bronx.
She was predeceased by her husbands Thomas in 1983, and John “Scotty” Greenan in 2010, her son Thomas in 1971, as well as her parents Thomas and Ellen “Nellie” Lynch, her dear brothers John and Thomas Lynch and loving sisters Catherine Keevins and Helen Jordan.
She is survived by her children (and their spouses) Richard of Naples, FL, Mary (Cento) of Miami, FL, Kenneth of Mount Vernon, and Christopher of New Rochelle. Mary was the proud grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 11, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews who will sorely miss their "Aunt Mary."
A private burial was held on April 2, 2020 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, NY due to the restrictions from COVID-19. The family will be announcing services and a Celebration of Mary’s life sometime in the future when conditions permit. God Rest Her Soul, May She Rest in Peace.
