Mario Cannone

Mario Cannone of Mt. Vernon passed away on February 13, 2025. He was born on April 29, 1943 to Nicola and Maria Cannone.  Mario immigrated to the United States at the age of 17 on November 5, 1960 on the Vulcania Ship. He was an accomplished tailor, as a sample coat maker with the prestigious F&M Coat Company in the Garment District of NYC. Mario finished his career with Jones of NY Fashions. He learned his trade as a tailor as a young boy alongside his father, Nicola, in Italy.  Mario is survived by his sister Susie and her husband Angelo, his brothers Guido and his wife Virginia and Amedeo.  He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Also survived by his sister in laws, Bernice Cannone and Lena Cannone.  Mario is predeceased by his parents Nicola and Maria; brothers Michele and Gaetano and his sisters Nina and Raffaela and brothers in law Angelo Bove and Salvatore  Cicchetti. He was a cool guy who loved to be around family and play his favorite past time Italian card game, Scopa.  Mario will be missed by his family and friends. May he always Rest In Peace.
