Maria Joao Suspiro, age 105, passed away on Monday November 19, 2018 at 10:03am at the Wartburg Nursing Home in Mount Vernon, NY. She was born on June 23, 1913 in Faro, Portugal. She was married to Serafim Suspiro for over 40 years and together they had two sons. Though Maria Joao was a little woman, she had a very big personality. She is survived by her two sons, Fernando and Francisco, four grandchildren, Linda, Michael, Andrew and Daniel, and three great-grandchildren, Brianna, Jaxon and Mason.
