Maria T. Lewis

Maria T. (Mimi) Lewis of Mt. Vernon, NY, passed away unexpectedly on September 1, 2020. Born to Florence and Guy Altamura on June 12, 1947 in Dobbs Ferry, NY, she lived most of her life in the Westchester county area. Mimi spent her career at the IBM Corporation working in various roles and retiring with over 30 years of service. Active in retirement, Mimi was president of her co-op board, took care of and adopted many stray cats and spent every day that she could at her favorite place - the beach. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph D. Lewis, and brother in law, Richard S. Maceyko. Mimi is survived by her sister, Barbara A. Maceyko, niece, Laurie Maceyko Hood (Chad), nephew, Stephen R. Maceyko (Jennifer), great nephews, Andrew Maceyko, Alan Maceyko and Mace Hood, great niece, Amanda Maceyko, all of Atlanta, GA and great niece, Sara Bagby, of Pittsburg, CA. A funeral mass and interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mimi’s memory can be made to Saints Peter & Paul and St. Ursula Church, 129 E.
