Maria Barreiro Obituary

Maria Lourdes Barreiro peacefully went to Heaven on Saturday, February 22. Maria was 91 years old and was a resident of Mt. Vernon for over 70 years. She immigrated to the US in 1948 from Portugal. Maria was a resource to many Portuguese immigrants, taking them to doctor's appointment and translating and filling out important papers for them. She loved to crochet and made hundreds of crafts which she loved to give to anyone who she came in contact with. Maria was predeceased by her husband Abilio and her daughter Maria Celeste, son Manuel and her parents.
