Madaline Ragonese, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025 at Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Born on August 5, 1939, in the Bronx, NY, Madaline's life was a testament to the power of devotion to her family, her work, and her God. Madaline was the beloved wife of Richard Ragonese, a partnership graced with love and mutual respect. Together, they built a life full of joy and cherished memories. Her family was her pride and joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in her children: Anthony Guido, Donna Franciosa, Michael Guido, Robert Pastore, Diane Byrd, Allyson Ragonese, Laura Caporale, and Nancy Ragonese. She was a guiding star to her nineteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to her life. She was one of six siblings and will be missed by Nicholas DeRosa, Rosanne DeRosa, Linda Sassi and predeceased by Margaret Valentine and Irene Vitaliano. Madaline was predeceased by her Mother, Helen DeRosa; her father, Pete DeRosa; and by her daughter, Carol Ann Ragonese, whose memories continued to light up her heart. Madaline served as a Director of Communication in the telephone industry. Madaline was a devout Catholic, and her life was a reflection of her beliefs. She found comfort and strength in her church community, where she was a beloved member. Her faith helped guide her through the good times and tough times of life. Family gatherings weren't complete without Madaline's exceptional cooking, an art she performed with love as her secret ingredient. She took great pleasure in feeding her family, creating meals that were expressions of her love and traditions passed down through generations. Madaline loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, sisters, brother, nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed bingo, game shows, dinners out and Broadway shows. The couple's trips to visit family in Florida were among her most treasured moments. These memories are held dear by all who shared them with her. In her passing, Madaline Ragonese leaves behind a legacy of faith, and the love of family. Her spirit will forever be cherished and remembered by all who were blessed to know her. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we take comfort in the knowledge that she is now at peace, resting in the loving embrace of her Savior.
