Luz “Chicky” Rodriguez was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on May 15th 1947. When she was ten
years old she came to New York. She graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School, soon
after that she joined the Army. She served her country well and was honorably discharged. She
coached her children’s little league teams and also dedicated 50 years of service to Dun-Rite
Movers. When you hear the saying “She Lived Life To The Fullest” I want you to think of her.
Luz truly lived a life that would amaze anyone. She knew how to live in the moment with no fear.
She is survived by her three children Alex, Christine, and Stephen. She has ten grandchildren,
six great grandchildren, her sister Ana, and her husband of 30 years, Henry. I ask that when you
think of Luz to please think of the times she made you smile or shared a joke that either
shocked you or filled you with laughter. In that moment I promise you, you’ll feel her with you.
She will be missed and always loved. Sleep in Paradise
