Lucy R. Giuliano

Lucy Rita Giuliano left this earth on November 17, 2018 to make her way to her eternal home.  She was 95 years old. Lucy was born on June 6, 1923 in Manhattan, NY.  She learned the importance of family from her father, Joseph Guarino, and her mother Josephine. She grew up in the loving embrace of her parents and her siblings – her older sister, Fanny, and her older brothers Eddie and Andy. She had a younger brother, Joseph, who died at the age of two. She will now be reunited with them, along with her husband Louis, her brother-in-law Pat Serraro, her sister-in-law Dee Dee Guarino, her nephews Joseph Guarino and Michael Burns, her brother and sister-in-law Vincent and Ann Giuliano, and her nephew Vincent Giuliano. She is survived by her daughter Vera Giuliano; her honorary daughters Robyn Krueger, Sharon Calabrese, and Elaine Hertel; her beloved grand-dogs Desi and Zoe; her caretakers Floyd Harvey and Pat Schuler; her Godchild Barbara (Tom) Deely; and several nieces and nephews: Richard (Jody) Serraro, Rick Serraro, Leah (Michael) Salsberg, Thomas Salsberg, Edd Guarino ,Jeffrey Van Dyke; Anne Guarino; Michael (Emma Potter) Guarino, Elizabeth Guarino; Kathleen Burns; Kyle Burns; Amanda (David ) Fells; Laura Acosta; and Christina (Robert) Thorn. Lucy will be remembered for her thoughtfulness, her sense of humor, her ability to tell a great story, and her delicious Christmas cookies. Family will honor Lucy’s life on Saturday from 2 – 6 pm at the funeral home. A funeral mass was held in Buffalo, NY.  Interment will be Monday November 26, 2018 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in New Rochelle, NY. In her passing, Lucy wished to help those in need.
