Louise M. Castro

Louise M. (“Gigi”) Castro of Mt Vernon passed away on December 12, 2018. Louise was born on September 12, 1925 to Giuseppe and Annella Ruocco (née Orrichio), who had come to the United States from Vallo della Lucania, Provincia di Salerno, Italy. Louise is survived by her husband Frank, children Gregory (Natalie) Castro, Linda (John Brokaw) Castro, grandchildren George, Julie and Gina. A celebration of Louise's life will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 4 to 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at Holy Family Church at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
