Leonardo Maiuolo

Leonardo Maiuolo, passed away in New Rochelle, NY on December 3, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family. Born January 6, 1940, in Arena in the Province of Vibo Valentia in the region of Calabria, Italy he was born to the late Carmela and Giovanni Maiuolo, and the youngest of three children, his sister Maria and is predeceased by his brother Pasquale. His nephews, nieces and cousins will miss his smile and banter. He is survived by his beloved children Giovanni; Carmela Vita, devoted husband Victor; and Anthony Leonardo, his beloved wife Tina; and by his cherished grandchildren Marco, Stella, Luca, Sofia, Olivia, Adelina, Michael, and Matthew. His legacy lives on in their achievements, their values, and the love he instilled in each of them. Leonardo grew up in the hills of Calabria. As a young man, he proudly served in the Italian Army. In the 1960s, driven by hope and the promise of opportunity, Leonardo immigrated to the United States with his Uncle. He made his home Mount Vernon, NY, where he raised his family and built a legacy rooted in determination and vision. Leonardo was a true entrepreneur at heart. To support his growing family, he started a landscaping business that became both his livelihood and passion. Over the years, he also cultivated a real estate portfolio through persistence, skill, and a deep belief in the American dream. He worked side by side with his sons, taking pride in teaching his children the importance of education, dignity, and hard work. Leonardo rarely took a day off, embodying dedication nearly seven days a week throughout his life. Leonardo is laid to rest at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, NY, reunited with the loved ones who went before him and held forever in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
