Lena Bonitatibus

Lena Bonitatibus of Yonkers passed away on February 3, 2021. She was born in Roccasecca, Italy on November 25, 1933 to Giuseppe and Isabella Poccia. Lena was predeceased by her beloved husband Rocco in 2017 and a daughter Rita in 1959. Loving mother of Jerry (Pat) Bonitatibus, Rita (Richie) Sullivan, Rocky (Lori) Bonitatibus, and Francesca (Matthew) Kayan; cherished Nanny of Christina, Marissa, Anthony, Danny, Lorin, Rocky, Michael, Joey and Nicky and great grand-Nanny of Rocco, Jack, Drew, Lena and Lidia; dear sister of Lucietta Poccia and also predeceased by a brother Dominic Poccia. Lena’s love was her family, she was most happy surrounded by all 24 family member laughing and talking loudly over each other. That roaring sound was precious music to her ears, Lena wouldn’t have wanted life any other way. Her Sunday family dinners with her homemade pasta was the highlight of the entire family’s week. Lena’s family will honor her life on Friday February 5, 2021 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Yannantuono Funeral Home. Funeral Mass 9:30 am Saturday February 6, 2021 at Holy Family Church, New Rochelle. Burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, New Rochelle.
