John C. Caruso, age 85, passed away peacefully at home on September 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 26, 1939, in Tuckahoe, New York, he was the son of the late Rose (Marinello) and Charles Caruso.
After graduating from Tuckahoe High School, John enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served as a medic. Following his military service, he attended Oswego University, which laid the foundation for a successful career in various business ventures.
John is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Barbara (Vettorino), his sons Gregory (Kristin) and Mark (Kara), and his cherished grandchildren Olivia, Lilyana, Grayson, and Silas. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters, Barbara Juba and Marlene Natali, his sisters-in-law Patricia (Frank) Cupak and Anna Caruso, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. John was predeceased by his brother, Charles, and his brothers-in-law Edward Juba and Joseph Natali.
A passionate golfer, John was an active member of the Knickerbocker Golf Club, where he spent countless hours enjoying the company of his friends and fellow golfers. His love for the game and the friendships he formed there brought him great joy.
John's kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends will be deeply missed. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
