Jeanne L. Markus

Jeanne L. Markus a lifelong resident of Mt. Vernon, passed away on September 1, 2022 at the age of 95. Jeanne was predeceased by her husband, John Robert Markus. She was one of eight daughters of the late Ruth and Frank Martin. She is predeceased by 6 of her sisters with one surviving, Alice Coup. Jeanne has five children, Helen Markus (Helen Ramirez), Jeanne Burghardt (John), JoAnne Canhoto (Manuel), Claire Watt (Robert-deceased) and Mary DiSanto (Salvatore). She is the loving grandmother of 4, Thomas Burghardt (Kelly), Jennifer Darcy (Philip), Michael Canhoto (Chelsi) and Christopher DiSanto (Jennifer). Also, Jeanne is survived by 9 great grandchildren. Her background was in the restaurant and retail businesses.
