Jean Dellaquila Obituary

Jean (Tiso) Dellaquila was born in Mt. Vernon, NY on March 19, 1925, to Carmine and Carmela Tiso.  She was the second of six siblings.  She grew up in Mt. Vernon and spent childhood summers in Oyster Bay, Long Island with her cousins.  After graduating from Edison High School she began working in the business office of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, where she stayed for more than 40 years.

She married Frank Dellaquila of Queens, NY on May 6, 1951.  They were married until his death in March 2015.  They lived in Westchester until 1994, when they began a new chapter of their lives in Boynton Beach, FL, where they made many friends and enjoyed life in the sun.  In 2011 they moved to St. Louis MO to be closer to their son and his wife.

Jean was a wonderful mother to Frank and his wife Susan, and grandmother to Michael and his wife Lauren.  She was a beloved sister to Ann, Angela, Angelo, Phyllis and Ralph (who survives her) and a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews across several generations.

She was a blessing to all who knew her and a friend to many.  Her life was an example of grace and contentment.
