James Vincent Patrick Nolan, Jr. passed away on January 12, 2024. He was born on December 29, 1925 in New York City to James Vincent Nolan, Sr. and Catherine Nolan (nee Cunniffe). Jim was predeceased by his beloved wife, Dorothy in 2014. Loving father of Thomas (Mary) Nolan, Patricia (Nino) Marino and Kevin (Susan) Nolan; cherished grandfather of Katherine, Allegra, Gregory, Celine, Kevin and Christine; and great grandfather of Kieran, Asher, Isabel, Amital, Avraham, Aisik, Luca and Evelina. Jim was predeceased by a grandson Jimmy Nolan and sisters Mary, Agnes, Patricia and Eileen. James proudly served his country in the US Army during World War II, fought in the Battle of the Bulge. James was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He worked for the Unites States Postal Service and was the manager at The Times Square Station. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, serving as a Grand Knight; also, was a member of the V.F.W., serving as a State Commander. Jim was a champion Cross Country Track star. Avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. He enjoyed golf more recently and fishing/hunting earlier in his life. His greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his grand and great grandchildren.
