Idrissa T. Bryant Johnson

Idrissa Tené Bryant Johnson, 37, passed away in the loving arms of her family on September 22, 2019. She was born to Mr. and Mrs. Courtney and Valeta Bryant at 08:11am on January 26, 1982, in White Plains, NY.  Idrissa’s early education started in Mount Vernon, NY. She went on to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from SUNY at Purchase and her Master’s of Social Work from the Yeshiva University in New York City. Idrissa has been described by her friends as selfless, patient and kind - she was a protector of those she loved. Therefore, it is not surprising that she made being a social worker her life’s work. Idrissa married the love of her life, Mr. Greg Andrew Johnson, on July 10, 2015 and together they welcomed their baby girl, Leia Tené Johnson on April 28, 2016.Idrissa will forever be remembered by her loving husband, Mr. Greg Andrew Johnson and their children, Leia Tené and Jaden Johnson, and Godson, David Pace; her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Courtney & Valeta Bryant, sister Méta Morrison, Grandmothers Florence Dabrio and Molly Toyloy along with a host of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2019 from 02:00-6:00 pm at the Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home, 584 Gramatan Ave., Mt. Vernon, NY 10552. The celebration of Idrissa’s life will be held on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 08:30 am at New Life Fellowship Church, 16 South 3rd Ave., Mt. Vernon, NY 10550. The burial will take place immediately after, at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY followed by a repast that will be held at Neha Restaurant, 27 Meyer Ave., Yonkers, NY 10704 from 12:30-04:00 pm. The family is requesting that guests do not wear black and if possible to include a touch of pink.
