Gabriel M. Martin

Gabriel M. Martin - Husband, Father, Son, Nephew, Grandson, Cousin and Amazing Friend - passed away suddenly on August 27th, 2020 in his home surrounded by his loving family.  
Gabriel was born on June 14th, 1976 to the late Elizabeth Martinez and Manuel Martin.  He grew up in the Bronx with his adoring grandparents, father, and uncles.  He married his best friend, Melissa and had three beautiful daughters.
Known for his infectious laughter, sense of humor and love for life, Gabe will be remembered for his kindness and laid-back manner.  He was an animal lover, had a flair for cooking and an appetite to match.  He loved computers and had an enviable talent for technology, often helping his cousins make the most of their at-home entertainment. He was often called by his Dad to help resolve technology issues. Gabe never asked for anything in return, except for a dish or two of his Aunt’s chicken marsala.   
Gabe was a loyal friend and was always available when anyone needed a helping hand.  Prior to having a family, he would often be found spending time with his friends over barbecue and ice cold beer in his backyard.  After Gabe and Melissa had children, he dedicated his free time to loving, caring, and enjoying his growing family. He was an affectionate and devoted father and his three daughters were the light of his life.
Gabe is survived by his wife Melissa, his daughters Roxanne, Rebecca and Tula Rose, his father Manuel, and his Uncles Zenen, Edwin, Robert and Antonio.  He is also survived by his six cousins: Remy, Marco, Marielle, Mia, Brandon and Tommy.  He will be sorely missed and never forgotten by his family, friends and colleagues.  Family will honor Gabe’s life on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2020 4-8pm at the Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home, 584 Gramatan Ave, Mt. Vernon, NY 10552.
