Francesca (Antonetta) DiLeo

Francesca (Antonetta) DiLeo, 86, of MT. Vernon NY, passed away on Wednesday June 7, 2023. She was born in Guardia Lombardi, Italy on January 6, 1937, to Ralph and Brigida DiMatteo. She immigrated from Italy with her husband Saio and worked for many years at the Reliable Automotive Sprinkler Factory until she retired. She enjoyed being with her family, grandchildren, and her many friends who would occasionally stop by for coffee. She loved planting tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and other vegetables in her garden where she spent most of her time. As soon as you entered her house, she was ready to cook something to eat, and “No” was not an acceptable answer. She would always put others’ needs before her own, had a great sense of humor, and an infectious smile that we will never forget. She was the matriarch of our family and will be deeply missed. Predeceased by her beloved husband of over 50 years Isaia (Saio). Loving mother of John (Lily) DiLeo and Angela (Joe) Sala; cherished grandmother of Alyssa, Brandon, Amanda, and Joseph. Predeceased by her two sisters Maria Fuschetto and Tanina Scavone, and her brother Rocco DiMatteo. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
