Fernando Marques

Obituary

Fernando Da Silva Marques was born in his beloved Brazil on March 24, 1940. He resided in Mount Vernon NY for many years. Fernando is survived by his wife Ruth and son Jason (Sofia) daughter in law, two grand daughters Camila and Juliana. Fernando was a businessman here in Mount Vernon, but was most known for being a father figure to many in the community. Fernando spent his time at his Brazilian American club where friends gathered and supported those in need. He was a friend to everyone.  In his bar you often saw collections for children at St.Jude hospital. His heart was enormous, and he will leave behind a void in his community. Donations can be made to Maria Fareri Childrens Hospital in his name.   

In lieu of flowers donations will be collected for the Maria Ferrari children’s hospital Ronald McDonald house.
