Eva Moore Obituary

Eva Moore a beloved wife, mother and grandmother was peacefully called home to be with her lord and savior on December 29, 2021. She was born Willie Eva Hill on December 10, 1944 and raised in rural Tignall Georgia.

After graduating as a Salutatorian honor student from the Wilkes County Training High School in 1963, Eva relocated with family members to Mount Vernon, New York where she raised her only son as a self-sufficient single mother.  Her life journey eventually navigated her to meet her soulmate, life partner and inseparable loving husband Clarence Moore.  Eva and Clarence were married in holy matrimony on April 22, 1992 and celebrated over 29 years of a loving marriage. They loved wearing matching wardrobes, attending church, and traveling across the United States, to Hawaii, taking international trips to Hong Kong the Philippines, Caribbean Islands, taken many cruise ship excursions, and even their last trip to Las Vegas.

Eva was very passionate about helping others and established a rewarding career in the nursing field. She earned both a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Nursing from the College of New Rochelle. Eva gracefully retired in 2009 after many years as healthcare professional. Eva was a faithful servant of God, a dedicated ambassador to the church and worshipped for many decades at the Holy Tabernacle Church in Mount Vernon, New York.

Eva leaves to mourn her husband Clarence Moore, son Reginald Heard (Melissa), Nephews Gary King and Kelvin King, Grandchildren, Godchildren, a host of extended family, dear Friends and her Church Family who will all cherish her memories.  Eva was preceded in death by her parents Leroy Hill and Willie D. Hill, as well as her sister Martha King. Eva lived a blessed life and will always be loved and remembered in the hearts of many.
