Emma A. Blauvelt
Obituary
Emma A. Blauvelt of Mt. Vernon passed away on September 12, 2023. She was born in Mt. Vernon on January 5, 1962 to Angela and David Blauvelt. Emma graduated from Mount Vernon High School and attended Mercy College. She worked for the Mt. Vernon Police PAL then becoming a Dispatcher for the Mount Vernon Police Department where she worked for 40 years, before retiring for health reasons. Emma loved being such an intricate part of her beloved MVPD, where she took great pride of all whom she worked with and helped throughout her years. She is survived by her uncle Sam Funicello of Florida and her aunt Katy Funicello of Oregon, her cousins, family, and many friends. She was very proud to be godmother to Alyson Fitzpatrick. Emma is eternally grateful to Joyce and Anthony Piscopo. She will be remembered and missed by all who knew her.
