Elliott Bishop Obituary

Elliott Miller Bishop, a devoted husband, father, and brother, passed away on July 18, 2024, at the age of 55. Born on October 8, 1968, in Amityville, NY, to loving parents Miller and Kathryn, Elliott grew up with a spirit of creativity, a witty sense of humor and a heart full of love. He departed this world in Greenwich, CT, after a courageous battle with cancer. We will remember him for his unending devotion to his family and his fierce desire to protect and provide for them always. Elliott was a beloved figure in his community, known for his wisdom and the genuine care he extended to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a graduate of the College of Westchester, where he earned a Bachelor's in Business Administration. His education laid the foundation for a successful career as a Product Specialist at Bel-Aqua, where he was respected for his expertise, dedication and exemplary work ethic. At home, Elliott's life was anchored by his cherished family. His wife, Halimah shared in both life's challenges and its many joys. Together, they raised two wonderful sons, Michael and Simon, who were the embodiment of their father's loving nature and steadfast determination. Elliott's role as a family man extended to his sisters, Virginia and Yvette. He also held a special place in his heart for his nephew, Joseph and his wife Aimee. Throughout Joseph's life, Elliott was both a big brother and role model. Elliott's interests outside of work were a testament to his steadfast and genuine character. Like his mother, Elliott was talented at drawing and loved cooking for his family. He was also an avid enthusiast of wrestling and martial arts, disciplines through which he not only honed his physical strength but also cultivated virtues like discipline and respect. His achievements in this arena were not insignificant; he was proud to have earned a black belt in Jiu-jitsu and a brown belt in Judo. These skills he passed on to his sons, alongside the importance of perseverance, humility and family. Those who knew Elliott will remember him as a man who was both loving and courageous. He approached life's adversities with a quiet bravery, and his wise counsel was sought by many. Elliott's legacy is one of love and courage, a beacon for those he has left behind. The loss of Elliott Miller Bishop is deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who knew him. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life lived with honor and purpose.
