Dominick F. Palumbo, passed away at the age of 84 on May 13, 2024, in his hometown of Mount Vernon, NY. Born on September 6, 1939. Dominick's journey through life was shared with his beloved wife of 26 years, Cathy, who stood by him as a partner in all aspects of life. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Joy and Susan, nephews Dennis Jr., Matthew, Michael. Dominick was predeceased by his brothers, Anthony, Dennis, Alex Jr., and his dog Rocky, with whom he shared an extraordinary bond. For 35 years, Dominick poured his soul into Palumbo's Meat Market, a venture he proudly owned alongside his twin brother, Alex. The store was more than a business; it was a neighborhood gathering place where friendships were formed, and community ties were strengthened. Dominick's warm smile and generous spirit were fixtures behind the counter, making every customer feel like family. Dominick's zest for life extended beyond his professional endeavors. He was known for his love of dance. His frequent visits to the casino were not just about the thrill of the game but about the camaraderie and the stories shared with friends. Those friends often convened at Maggie's, Mazzy's and Tara’s, where Dominick's laughter and good-natured banter were enjoyed by all.
