In Loving Memory of Clover “Bunchy” Walker
Today, we gather with heavy hearts, but also with deep gratitude, to celebrate the beautiful life of Clover Walker, affectionately known to many as Bunchy, and lovingly called Mama by her children and grandchildren.
Bunchy transitioned peacefully on January 15, 2026, at the age of 75. She was born on December 8, 1950, in Saint Mary, Jamaica, to the late Charles Walker and Lucy Champagne. She was richly blessed with a large and loving family, sharing life with 14 siblings—five sisters and seven brothers who remain, and two who preceded her in rest.
Bunchy was the kind of woman whose presence brought warmth into a room. She was kind, caring, and full of laughter—the kind of laughter that stayed with you long after the moment passed. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and had a true passion for sports, games, and music. Tennis held a special place in her heart—she knew the players, the matches, and the stories behind them. Cricket was another favorite, along with beloved television shows like The Price Is Right, Family Feud, and Jeopardy. When the family gathered for bingo, you could always count on Bunchy being right there—engaged, smiling, and fully in her element. Yes, she truly had a heart for games and togetherness.
Music also brought Bunchy great joy, especially country and western. She loved the stories told through songs and often found comfort and happiness in the voices of artists like Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Alan Jackson, and many more.
Above all, Bunchy was a devoted and loving mother. She raised five children—four sons and one daughter. Barrington, Byron, Radcliffe, Merrick, and Donna. She poured her love, strength, and wisdom into each of them, and that legacy continues through her family.
She leaves behind 27 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a wide circle of relatives and friends whose lives were forever touched by her warmth, humor, and genuine love.
As we remember Bunchy today, let us pause and reflect on the many laughs she gave us, the joy she shared so freely, and the love she planted in all of our hearts. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on—in our memories, in our stories, and in the family she cherished so deeply.
Rest well, Our Beloved Clover Walker. May the gates of Heaven open as God lovingly welcomes you home to eternal rest. You were loved, you are missed, and you will never be forgotten.
