Catherine Giorgio of Scarsdale passed away peacefully on May 21, 2021. Kay was born on October 14, 1937 to Luke and Louise Corcione. She married the love of her life, Jerry on July 30, 1960. Kay was a dedicated second grade teacher at Immaculate Conception in the Bronx. Her students loved her fun lessons and she was known as the ‘prettiest’ teacher. Recently, Kay was honored at the Immaculate Conception 50 year reunion. She is survived by brother John Corcione her daughter, Lisa and her husband TJ and grandchildren Christina & Brian. After her time in the classroom, Kay dedicated her life as a caretaker to her children. First, to Lisa, and then her predeceased handicapped son, Marc. She also had a huge hand in raising her beloved grandchildren. Kay loved to spend time with family and friends as she would host the best backyard BBQ’s including a special appearance of her famous chicken cutlets that everyone loved and looked forward to. Kay was a true bright light who shined her goodness amongst everyone around her. Family will honor Kay’s life on Tuesday from 4-8pm and Wednesday 3-7pm at the funeral home. Funeral mass at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Scarsdale, NY. Entombment at Ferncliff Cemetery.
