Cassandra Van Cott

We are left heartbroken by the beloved death of our Yaya, our Chache, Cassandra Van Cott, born on the 8th day of April, 1929. She was the wife of Mt. Vernon’s assemblyman, George Van Cott, and leaves behind her two children, Cassandra & Peter, and her five, beautiful grandchildren- Gregory, Illeana, Skylar, Zoe, and Lucas. Our Yaya was an esteemed Juliard violinist, lover of the arts, and a firm protector of her family. We will miss her terribly and we love her with all of our hearts. Until we see you again…
