Carmine Porpora

Carmine Porpora of Larchmont passed away on July 14, 2018. Carmine was born in the Bronx on January 3, 1926 to Antonio and Maddalena Porpora. Carmine served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. On June 13 1948 he married his wife of 62 years the late Frances. Carmine was very active in Mt. Carmel Church serving as an usher and in the Knights of Columbus for many years. He was also a member of the VFW. Carmine is survived by his children Stephen (Katherine) and Frances (Mark) House, grandchildren Mark, Jeffrey, Thomas, William, Christopher and Jennifer, great grandchild Hunter, brothers Vincent (Carol), Anthony, Joseph (Jackie) and many nieces and nephews. Carmine is predeceased by his beloved wife Frances and sisters Rae and Mary. A celebration of Carmine’s life will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8pm.
