E. CARL BECANN
It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Egbert Carl Becann on June 1, 2021. He resided in Mount Vernon, New York for many years.
Carl was born on January 21, 1936 in Jamaica to the late Clarence and Matilda Becann and is survived by his son Everton Becann and daughter Carol Becann. He also leaves behind his sister, Maize Smykle, brother, Carvell Becann and many nieces and nephews.
He loved his work as a construction professional, his beloved homeland Jamaica, specifically May Pen, was a Jamaican foodie and considered ‘My Way’ by Frank Sinatra his personal theme song.
Carl will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
