Born and raised in Samardã, Portugal, on January 17, 1946, António was a Portuguese veteran of the Portuguese Colonial War. He married his love, Teresa, in 1972 in Vilarinho da Samardã. That same year, he emigrated as a newlywed to Mount Vernon, NY, where they began their family. António lived a life marked by his devotion to his family and his strong work ethic. He spent 42 years working at Pascap and was especially known for his love of music, singing, and dancing.
António is survived by his wife, Teresa; his daughters, Maria, Isabel, Diana, and Amanda; his grandchildren, Lillian, Lizette, Briana, Brenden, Mia, Dylan, Amália, and António Arlindo; and his sons-in-law, John, Juan, and Jose Carlos, who will forever cherish his memory. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lillian.
