On Sunday, October 27th, 2024, Antoinette D’Agostino (née Fusaro), passed away peacefully at her home of 69 years, in Fleetwood. She was 102 years old.
Ann was born on June 12th, 1922, to Christine and James Fusaro and was a lifelong resident of Mount Vernon. She worked at the Westchester County Department of Health as a clerk while raising three children.
Ann’s life was built around an unwavering commitment to her family and her faith. She was active in her local church community, attending mass daily and selflessly volunteering her time anywhere help was needed, even cleaning pews and ironing the linens.
The dinner table remained front and center in her life and she loved handing down her mother’s Italian recipes and creating new ones with her granddaughter while enjoying a glass of red wine. There’s no way to know how many kitchens her famous Manicotti graced.
She will be missed by a large extended family, including the children and grandchildren of her first cousin and best friend, Carol Forlani. She joins her husband of 45 years, Liberato D’Agostino, her son James, her son-in-law Joe Guarino and her daughter-in-law Kathleen in Heaven. She is survived by her daughter Anne, son John (JoAnn), five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Jansen Hospice & Palliative Care.
