Ann Howitt Obituary

Ann Howitt, age 100, a long time resident of Mt. Vernon, passed away on 4/26/20. Ann was born in France. She worked as a nurse in occupied France during World War II. Ann came to the US after the war where she met and married her husband, Samuel Howitt. They lived in NYC and Westchester County. Ann was a very caring woman. In her later years, Ann enjoyed dancing. She was a regular at the Lake Isle Senior Center for several years. Ann also enjoyed dancing at the Empire Casino on Senior Day. Ann loved to go out to eat, go to garage sales, listen to music (especially Lawrence Welk and Andrea Bocelli), and spend time with her family.
Ann is survived by her sons, Robert and Richard (Susan) and granddaughter, Jenna.
