Angelo M. Braccia of Mt. Vernon passed away peacefully at home on April 30, 2025. He was born in Morra, Italy on May 8, 1936, to Rocco and Rosaria Braccia. Beloved husband of Caterina; loving father of Lucie and Jerry (Kristen); cherished Nonno of Bryan, Marissa and Roman; dear brother of Gerardo, Antonio and Maria. Angelo was predeceased by his brother, Luciano. He retired from the Mt Vernon School District as a Custodian. Angelo loved playing cards, especially, his favorite Italian card game, Scopa. He enjoyed his vegetable garden. Angelo genuinely loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a proud member of the Italian Club at St. Roch’s Church in Greenwich, CT. Family will honor Angelo’s life on Sunday May 4th from 2:00 – 6:00 pm at the Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home in Fleetwood. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Manday May 5th at Sts. Peter & Paul ~ St. Ursula’s Church, Mt. Vernon. Entombment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Rye Brook.
