Andrew Mola Jr. passed away peacefully on June 20, 2020. Andrew is survived by his son, Andrew Mola, III , his daughter-in-law, Joyce, and two grandchildren, Amanda and Gabrielle. He is predeceased by his wife, Hildegarde, and son, Christopher. Loving brother of Ralph, sister-in-law, Rosemarie, and sister, Dorothy Galgano and loving nieces and nephews: James, his wife, Carrie, Andrea, her husband, Stan, Jessica and her husband John, and Frankie, brother of Jessica. A lifelong resident of Pelham Bay in the Bronx, Andrew, (“Junior” as he was called by family) was the first born son to Andrew Mola Sr. and Anna Mola (nee Angarola). He was a graduate of Dewitt Clinton High School and was employed by B. Altman & Co. for over 34 years holding various positions including Director of Traffic and Transportation based out of the companies’ flagship New York City store on 34th Street and Madison Avenue. He would meet his future wife while employed there. They married in 1962 and were married for over 50 years. Andrew loved the beach and was a great prankster, jokester and was always the ‘life of the party’. He will always be remembered for his rendition of the traditional Italian folkdance, the ‘Tarantella’. Andrew (“Junior”) brought so much joy and laughter to all those who knew him. He will be missed deeply. Family and friends are invited to his wake on Tuesday, June 23rd from 4 pm to 8 pm at Yannantouno Burr-Davis-Sharpe Funeral Home (584 Gramatan Avenue, Mt Vernon, N.Y.). A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Andrew on Wednesday, June 24th at 10 am at Saints Peter and Paul - Saint Ursula Church (129 E. Birch Street, Mt. Vernon, N.Y.) Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery
