Alvera C. Marallo

Alvera C. Marallo of Mt. Vernon passed away on April 24, 2021. She was born in Mt. Vernon on July 11, 1923 to John and Josephine Frusciante. Alvera was predeceased by her loving husband Herman in 2002 and her son-in-law Ron in 2014. Loving mother of Anna Marie (Bill) Maselli, Frank (Patricia) Marallo, Joann (Tommy) Deagan, Karen Manna and Mary Jo (Joe) Pecora. Cherished grandmother of Janine, Michele, Frankie, Tommy, Ronnie, Jonathan, Joanna and Joseph and great grandmother of Michael, Matthew, Davis, TJ, Nicolette, Julia, Madelyn, Sofia and Siena; dear sister of Jerry Frusciante and sisters in law Josephine Frusciante and Maryann Frusciante. Also survived by her very dear friend Marie Ritacco. Alvera was also predeceased by 9 brothers and sisters. Alvera enjoyed cooking, baking and playing Bingo. She genuinely loved watching all the kids play sports and she was famous for shopping for the ‘old folks’ when she was in her 80’s and 90’s.  Family will honor her life on Wednesday April 28, 2021 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home. Funeral Mass 10:00 am Thursday at Our Lady of Victory Church. Interment at Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that all contributions be made to St. Patrick’s Home 66 Van Cortlandt Park S., Bronx, NY 10463 in Memory of Alvera Marallo
